Carbon Project Development for a Sustainable Future
An opportunity to improve farm income, soil health, and sequester carbon from the atmosphere.
Global Sequestration Potential
Agricultural carbon credits are gaining increased attention as a part of global efforts to combat climate change. These credits are part of carbon offset programs where farmers and landowners implement practices that reduce or sequester greenhouse gas emissions and, in return, earn tradable carbon credits. Soil carbon sequestration addresses more than 50%* of required greenhouse gas reduction while creating an enormous economic opportunity for farmland owners.
Biodel partners with agricultural landowners to form individual carbon projects that can generate significant revenue.

Our Technology
- We measure the full root zone which yields more carbon credits per acre.
- We measure and compensate based on modeled carbon amounts.
- We are soil specific, not crop specific.
The basis of our carbon program is restoring soil carbon cycling leading to the permanent sequestering of carbon. Biodel Carbon provides agronomic advice to facilitate the basic practice changes or enhancements that restore carbon cycling.
Our Process
Biodel uniquely provides the most compelling and cost-effective solution for sequestering significant volumes of CO2 from our atmosphere, while revitalizing depleted soils.
These practices involve precise field measurement of soil carbon, permanent carbon sequestration, and emission reduction strategies.
We streamline the process of deriving value from soil carbon sequestration, facilitating all aspects of the process. We provide the process and support to generate high value carbon credits, including:
Carbon Credit Development for AG Landowners: Our primary focus is facilitating the sequestration of CO2 and ensuring accurate soil carbon measurements.
Agronomic Guidance to Restore Soil Health: Biodel Carbon will provide strategies for implementing practice changes that improve soil health, which will directly benefit agronomic support, farming practices, and crop yields.
Evaluation Support: Biodel Carbon is committed to providing objective advice and analysis to measure the effectiveness of carbon cycling and optimize farm incomes. This includes evaluating the progress of landowners and operators in implementing recommended practices.
1.
Initial Consultation
Get acquainted with the process, benefits, objectives and requirements.
2.
Prepare a Defined Carbon Program
Satisfy practice changes and permanence requirements.
3.
Project Agreement
Review and completion of project agreement with Landowner.
4.
Onboarding
Biodel’s comprehensive MRV process involves identifying the Registry and potential buyers while collecting the necessary historical data.
5.
Field Scan
Projects payments are made following each field scan. Field scan frequency is between 1 – 3 years depending on carbon accumulation.
Key Strategies
Defined Carbon Plan.
Biodel creates a 3-year estimate of the carbon credits projected to be generated. The landowner or operator decides the pace of implementing practice changes, including the number of fields enrolled and specific input or practice adjustments. This provides time for the program’s implementation and evaluation, allowing for an assessment of its effectiveness and overall performance potential.
MRV.
The actual accumulation of soil carbon is measured, verified, and credits generated. Project evaluation is completed to review all aspects of performance.
Carbon Intensification.
The Project continues to intensify Carbon sequestration with additional practice changes and regenerative crop inputs to optimize the economic performance for the Landowner.
Carbon Offsets Based on REAL Carbon
For Carbon Offset Buyers:
Measurement Accuracy = Quality = Price
Biodel offers a premium, trustworthy carbon credit based on the measurement of real soil carbon at an atomic level. Biodel supplies high quality carbon offsets and equivalents sought by carbon offset buyers.
